This is not a joke. I am deeply sorry to inform you that ‘UWA Blogs’, our weblogging platform, is closing down at the end of February 2017 – we were informed by the Centre for Education Futures last week.

We are thankful for all your support and contributions to making UWA Blogs a great teaching and learning tool recognised for its student engagement locally and internationally. Just a few months ago we were distinguished with a 2016 UWA Award for Exceptional Contribution to Education Futures.

I am aware that some of you may be disappointed with this decision and may be afraid of losing all the creative content you have designed over the last two years. But there is nothing to worry about.

You can simply EXPORT your entire weblog with all its content as a file (see below), save it on your computer and then import to a new private server. We suggest using EDUBLOGS which provided the service for UWA Blogs in the first place. You can easily set up a safe educational FREE or PRO ($40 a year) account and import all weblogs you created in UWA Blogs.

Thanks for your support and understanding,
