Dust, mop, and vacuum every month or so

Minimum. Of course, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming more often is not going to do any harm, but the general consensus is that once a month is the absolute minimum to keep the home clean and tidy. Dust accumulates more than we think (especially in spaces like under the bed or behind furniture that sits up against walls), so it is important to ensure that we are always working towards keeping these spaces clean.
